Olympic soccer conundrum solved

It always seems a shame that no young British footballers are able to experience the obvious joy that is the Olympic games.
And - as many good unders 23s don't make it at the very highest level - it could be the highspot of their careers.
I understand the reluctance of the four home football associations to own up to the fact that they aren't really countries - in case it is used against them in the future.
But I have always thought that there is an obvious solution.
The year before the Olympic competition starts play a home international tournament - men and women - featuring Olympic qualified players.
And then enter the winners in the Olympics to represent GB and NI.
Independence maintained - and the whole world knows that the British Olympic Association has invited, say, Northern Ireland to play for the United Kingdom - not a joint team.
