Stanistreet on the first ballot

Michelle Stanistreet pulverised the opposition in the election to be NUJ deputy general secretary.
The poll must be confirmed by the union's national executive.

But the vote was:
Stanistreet 2,936
Toner 1,392;
Hunt 280;
Youett 225.

Michelle will be the first woman to hold the post.
