Teachers lobby privateers tonight

There is a lobby tonight in support of Bolton school teachers who are fighting to stop their conditions being changed by the creation of an academy in the town.
The sponsors of the academy - a state school run by private bosses - are due to speak to governors tonight at Withins School, Newby Road, Breightmet.
Teachers and their supporters are protesting between 4.30pm and 6pm.
National Union of Teachers members at the school held a one-day strike last week after a 95 percent vote for action over the changes to their working conditons.
A poll in the Bolton News showed 76 percent support for the teachers.
