68 Guns - two nights running

Next week there are two public meetings in Manchester to celebrate the fourtieth anniversay of the workers and students uprisings that swept the globe in 1968.
Paris was the epicentre of the movement so the Socialist Party - formerly the Militant - are hosting a speaker from their French sister movement at 7pm on Tuesday May 13 at the Friends Meeting House on Mount Street.
The following day the Socialist Workers Party host a rally called "May '68 The Fire Last Time" with speakers Alex Callinicos and Colin Barker, at 7pm on the top floor of the University of Manchester Student's Union on Oxford Road.
At 6pm in the same room is a film called The Demonstration about Manchester students at the Grosvenor Square anti-war demo in 1968.
The SWP event clashes with the UEFA Cup Final. I wonder how many Rangers fans will attend.
68 Guns - by the way - is a song by The Alarm.
