Celebrate the Thursday of discontent

Thousands of workers will be on strike in Manchester on Thursday - April 24.
The National Union of Teachers, the University and College Union, and the Civil and Public Services union are all taking action.
There is a joint rally from 11am to noon at the Friends' Meeting House, Mount Street, City Centre, M2 5NS, followed by a March organised by Manchester Trades Union Council.
Assemble in Albert Square for the March which will start at 12.30pm.
Speakers: Helen Andrews, NUT executive member; Sue Bond, PCS vice president; Angie McConnell and Dave Swanson, UCU; and Nick Wigmore, young teacher.
